I 'm Zoe the inspiration for this venture or adventure. I am a one eyed bitchin Frizzy (that's southern for Bichon Friese) born in Mason, TX which is where I lived when I met Patrick and chose him to be my human. My goal is the happiness of my friends so I helped Patrick start up a company to help people with their friends and of course named it after myself.
Patrick Mercer founded this company in December 2009 while still in the sales
department of the BMW dealership. While at grooming school he purchased a
Wag-n-tails Pet Pro mobile grooming salon. Upon completion of Groomer
Certification in Houston brought the van home and began serving customers.
"After surviving Tonsillary Cancer I wanted to be a part of a business that
could help people smile and be happy. Zoe got me started because I was never
happy with her hair cuts. Once I heard about Mobile Grooming and the advantages to the pet and owner I became a believer. After a few bumps in the road and a few years of challenges here we are."
Patrick loves sharing his knowledge and has taught a few people how to groom. He loves "spreading the wealth"

Meet our Office Manager & Lead Groomer, Jennifer Pitre-Clare. She started with Zoe & Friends in April 2021, as a lead groomer. In late Aug 2021 she became our full time Lead Groomer plus Company Manager & Bookkeeper. She has a true love of dogs and a passion to make everything successful. She has 31 years grooming pet and show dogs. Over the years, Jennifer has taught 14 people how to groom. Good groomers are hard to come by, so her thoughts on it are..."Have one of the best, teach more people how to groom them right". She came to us from the Texas Hill Country, where she owned her own grooming business, out of her home. She specializes in scissor work and has, also, created a special process for de-shedding dogs. Her daughter has a Shiba Inu and her previous pet was a Saint Bernard so with lots of trial and error she created a great de-shedding process for all those fur-babies with excessive coat. She has 8 years experience as a Vet Tech, which comes in handy, when she see's something worrisome or questionable with your pet. She is a military wife and a mother of 4, grandmother of 6. She has lived in North Carolina, Louisiana and Texas. Everywhere she's lived she has worked, out of her home, grooming dogs. She has worked at a few shops, too, but most of the last 16 yrs (military wife) has been creating beautiful pets, from home. She went to school, here in Leander, and has lived in the Austin area most of her life. She met her husband 20 years ago and they have been happily married for just over 16 yrs. When she gets some spare time she spends it with her children, grandbabies & dog. Plus she finds time to show BullMastiffs, for local breeder.
Her passion is to turn scruffy dogs into beautiful dogs, one at a time.
